Welcome to the first cohort of the African Fashion Futures Incubator, a transformative space designed to challenge ideas, nurture business concepts, and provide invaluable resources and mentorship for 14 talented fashion designers who embarked on this empowering program.
Our incubator is more than just a program; it’s a journey where dreams evolve into reality, and creativity knows no bounds. Facilitated by the Impact Fund for African Creatives (IFFAC), in collaboration with the African Fashion Foundation (AFF) and with Seedstars as the implementing partner, the African Fashion Futures Incubator is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of fashion entrepreneurs who will emerge as the leaders shaping the global fashion industry of tomorrow.
Over the course of six months, participants gain access to a wealth of opportunities, including mentorship from industry experts, resources, fundraising support, and grant funding of $5000. The program is carefully curated to cover essential topics such as business models, market positioning, comparative advantage, sustainability, and impact. This holistic approach aims to develop not only the creative prowess of fashion designers but also their operational and financial acumen.
